I know I have not updated my blog recently, things have been a little hectic. I have been working on college applications and its super stressful and confusing when you are in a different country. Schools been going great! I take a lot of simple english classes so things haven't been that complicated at school. I love my classmates to death, we have become really close friends! We do a ton of karaoke during our free time at school. It honestly does not feel like school at all, it’s more like a giant senior slide, but I have been getting an education during this experience. Everyday I try something new and learn something new. My classmates are really good at getting me to try new foods. I feel like i’ve known them my whole life, I definitely see myself keeping in touch with them when I go back to America. The bathrooms a school though are abnormally disgusting, like even cockroaches don't go in the bathrooms at school. The bugs here are absolutely killing me, like just killing me. All The bugs here are abnormally large and have no shame in crawling on you. I see a lot of cockroaches here in Thailand and I happen to be terrified of cockroaches. If I see one in the house I have to have my host mom or sister come and get it out. I just can't deal with them. The heat here is killing me as much as the bugs are too. I don't even take warm showers because it so hot here. I take ice cold showers to literally cool off. I went to a temple on a boat the other day and it was super cool because i got to feed they really large fish, they were at least 50 pounds. I also went to a coffee shop that has rice fields you can walk through behind it. I drink a lot of coffee here, because they have at least 2 coffee shops on every street. The coffee shops here are super cheap which is why I go to them often. Normal coffee shops charge around 5 dollars for a large caramel frappe, but here it's only 55 bhts which is less than 2 dollars. I am honestly enjoying my time here! Sometimes though I do question what I was thinking when I decided to come here, but overall I am having the time of my life. I look at some of the pictures of me here and it makes me smile because I can truly see how happy I am. This country is so different than America yet so amazing! I know I will continue to struggle in my own way, but I know that when i look back on this experience I will see all the good over shadow the bad!
