
The Stillwater Rotary Club partnered with BRIDGING, an organization that accepts quality furniture and household items and distributes them free of charge to families in need. BRIDGING was founded in 1987 on the simple concept that resources should be shared with those in need, "bridging" the gap between the "haves" and the "have nots."
On May 2, 2009, we filled a semi-truck with household items and hope to schedule a collection day again next spring.


Help make our next collection day a success by setting aside the following items in good condition. BRIDGING accepts:
- mattresses and box springs, all sizes
- metal bed frames (not headboards or footboards)
- bunk beds and futons
- sofas, loveseats and upholstered chairs
- kitchen tables and chairs
- dressers
- tables (night/end/coffee)
- entertainment centers, bookcases
- desks (48" X 30" or smaller)
- bakeware and mixing bowls
- bed linens (pillows, sheets and blankets)
- towels (hand, wash and bath)
- dishes, glasses, silverware, kitchen utensils
- pots and pans
- lamps, pictures and mirrors
- small kitchen appliances (toasters, etc.)
- rugs (area and throw)
- TV's (7 years old or newer, under 30")
BRIDGING does not accept:
- clothing
- outdoor furniture
- bicycles
- medical equipment and devices
- microwaves
- file cabinets
- knick knacks
- carpeting and remnants
- light fixtures
- books
- desks (metal or larger than 48" X 30")
- head and foot boards
- exercise equipment
- drapes and blinds
- computers
- stereo systems and consoles
