Good afternoon! We need your help in finding homes for our inbound Rotary Youth Exchange student. The Rotary clubs in Stillwater and Lake Elmo are jointly hosting a 16 year-old girl from Sweden for the upcoming school year. She will be here from August 15th until early July 2018. She speaks English and French in addition to her native Swedish, enjoys music and dance and will attend Stillwater High School. We are looking for 3 host families to cover the periods August-November, December-March and April-July. The dates are flexible, depending upon family schedules. The Rotary Clubs provide training and support for the host family, as well as a counselor and monthly allowance for the student. We pay for school lunches, a cell phone plan and some school activities. The host families are responsible for providing room and board. You do not need to have a high school student at home – empty nesters and parents of younger children are often great host families.
